This is education, not advice
The information here is written for the general reader and does not replace a personal medical consultation. It cannot tell you how deep the descent in your own face is, or whether the deeper operation is appropriate for your health or your circumstances.
No outcome is guaranteed
No treatment can be guaranteed. How much a lift improves, how long the improvement holds, and how the scars settle vary between individuals, and the result is judged honestly only between six and twelve months.
Nerve weakness must be discussed
Every lift carries some risk to the branches that move the face, and in this variant that risk is closer to the dissection. Weakness is usually temporary and is not always. A patient who has not been told this, in plain language, before agreeing to an operation has not been consented properly, whatever the result.
Scars are permanent
Every lift leaves scars. They mature and soften over a year or more, they do not disappear, and no surgeon can promise that they will be invisible. The plane chosen for the operation does not change that.
